Citrus begins to ripen including Oranges and Lemons for great fresh juices and amazing desserts like lemon bars and lemon custard and possibly some limoncello.
Blueberries take the center stage as the harvest goes into full swing. Now’s the time to eat everything blueberries, including spring salads and fruit bowls and don’t miss the how to class on blueberry jam! Take some freshly made jam home as a memory of you stay at the Quinta. Also, don’t miss the local cherries, after you snack on a few at the Quinta take a trip to Resende, the cherry capital of the Douro Valley.
Apples, apricots, pears, and some straggler blueberries fill out the summer harvest…oh yeah and GRAPES!!! let’s make some Vinho!

Although we don’t have coffee trees growing on the property, we do import green, unroasted coffee that we roast weekly so there is always freshly roasted coffee on the farm. The varieties will depend on availability, but count on México, South America and African specialty beans to be in steady supply.
